I don’t think I will ever buy chicken broth again. Pulled my good old slow cooker out and got this cooking for 8 hours on low. Made a TON of chicken broth, for cheap and I know exactly what’s in it!
4 celery sticks
4 chicken backs
2 bay leaves
1 onion, cut into quarters
Handful of cilantro
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Wash carrots and celery well. Add all ingredients to a slow cooker. Cover mixture with water,
Cook for 8 hours on low.
Strain mixture and put into airtight jars.
Broth should stay for about 7-10 days in the fridge or 3-4 weeks in the freezer.
