My boyfriend has a family BBQ to go to and to help him stay focused I put together this Tandoori seasoning mix to marinate his chicken in!
Tried out out for dinner beforehand of course, and it was a hit!
It wasn’t hard to come up with this, you can research a ton of recipes, or just go to the store READ the ingredients in a pre-mixed seasoning mix and come up with one yourself (Yes, I went to the grocery store and copied all the ingredients in a tandoori mix, took out the sugar and chemicals and VOILA!)
I added a few other ingredients as well 🙂 Hope you guys enjoy it!
For 4 chicken breasts or 8 chicken drumsticks.
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp dried coriander
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tbsp cayenne (more if you like it spicy)
1/2 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tbsp fresh ground ginger
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 small onion chopped
Mix all dry spices together well.
Mix all wet ingredients together well in a separate bowl.
Combine wet and dry and mix well.
Add onions and marinade chicken overnight, or bake in a foil packet for 45 mins.
