Sweet and Spicy Fruit & Nut Mix (Whole30 Friendly)


So my boyfriend and I decided to go on a hike today instead of going to the gym because it was too gorgeous to stay in. It’s hard to find Paleo friendly snacks on the go so we threw this together and resisted eating it all the way there 😉

1 tbsp coconut oil
1/4 cup macadamian nuts
1/8 cup dried cranberries
1/8 cup dried cherries
1/4 cup walnuts
2 tbsp unsalted sunflower seeds
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup pitted dates
Sprinkle of salt

Toss all ingredients together in a bowl until everything is coated well with coconut oil and cayenne.
Broil for 10 mins on high

    Hi I just had a question about your dried cranberries..are they sweetened? I’ve looked everywhere for “unsweetened” dry cranberries to no avail. One of the workers at whole foods told me they don’t even carry them. Have you found some without sugar added?

      I bought unsweetened cranberries at my local grocery store – ocean spray brand!

    I just tried this today… A-MAZ-ING! I had trouble getting unsweetened cranberries and cherries here in the UK, but found them eventually. I substituted pecans, because I don’t like walnuts. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Will definitely become a favourite.
